Rip-roaring Rugby Week for SA Agricultural Colleges

The Cape Institute for Agricultural Training: Elsenburg won the 2009 PANNAR Rugby Week, which took place in Potchefstroom from 27 June to 3 July.
Eight teams from the country's agricultural colleges competed on the Potchefstroom Agricultural College campus for the coveted IPJ du Plessis trophy as well as other accolades.
Upon completion of the tournament, a South African agricultural colleges team was selected (pictured above). The team took on the Valke (Falcons) combined U19 and U21 side, emerging victorious on a score of 27 – 9.
PANNAR SEED is one of the longest standing South African Rugby Union (SARU) sponsors, supporting this event since 1987. The event affords the company an opportunity to invest in young agriculturalists and, of course, in South Africa's rugby tradition. PANNAR is proud to be associated with these agricultural institutions, which contribute so significantly to the agricultural sector.
